The Qdos training team have been working hard since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to discover new, immersive methods of providing outstanding education and career opportunities through blended and online learning.
One of the most notable features of the new Qdos Training distance learning offer is the introduction of a new Virtual Learning Environment which allows learners to gain their qualifications within a tutor-led classroom, entirely online.
From January 2021
What to Expect with Qdos Training
Our distance learning offer is available to all age groups (16 to 19, apprentices and adult learners). Types of education include Apprenticeships, 16-23 Traineeships, Advanced Learner Loans and AEB courses, all of which offer outstanding career progression prospects.
In usual circumstances, you can choose whether you want to do distance (entirely online) or blended learning (mix of classroom and online learning). There will be times when we are only able to offer distance learning such as during a national lockdown.
Remote education is available for all learners, of all age ranges, funding streams and courses, via a variety of online resources including Google Classroom, Zoom, Email, electronic resources, Teachable.com and telephone.
All courses, apprenticeships and training resources have been adapted so that they are editable and writeable for all courses and are available 24/7 on google classroom and Teachable.com. Each learner has a dedicated tutor who will support and guide you throughout your learning and they have all been fully trained in all aspects of online and telephone delivery.
We except all students to work with our tutors to enable them to receive a full and positive learning experience and to ensure that all work is completed on time. All learners have a dedicated tutor, so please contact them with any issues.
The Stellar Academy (Hair and Beauty) is currently working remotely with learners to ensure all knowledge is covered. Any requirements for practical assessments and testing will be dealt with on an individual basis. Any issues please contact your tutor.
Students who do not have access to the internet or have physical equipment will have booklets posted to them and your tutor will teach and contact you via telephone and Whatsapp.
All learners have an Individual Learning Plan that they complete on sign up, this is distributed to your tutor and any information you have provided regarding requiring additional help or learning disability guidance, will be followed by your tutor to ensure you receive a full and rewarding learning experience, catered to your individual needs. If you did not disclose at sign up any issues, but wish to now, please ensure you speak to your tutor so that your ILP can be updated and training and delivery adapted.
We offer a full and varied range of apprenticeships for both small and large businesses, which are flexible and can be catered to suit the needs of the job role and the learner.
SME Employers please note, for any apprenticeship (19+) you take on, under new government rules a 5% contribution of the total apprenticeship cost has to be paid to your training provider. Payment plans are available.
For any apprentice that is 16-18 years old, no fee is charged and potentially a government employer incentive will be paid to you at various points during the apprenticeship to aid in employer training.
