Qualification Objective
The VTCT Level 2 Award in Thermal Auricular Therapy is a specialist qualification that has been specifically designed to help develop your basic knowledge, practical skills and competencies in; how to provide ear candling treatments on clients.
Underpinning this qualification you will develop your interest and aspiration to work in the beauty industry. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills and knowledge of beauty therapy which may allow you to progress to a larger course of learning leading to a certificate or diploma qualification.

How is this qualification structured?
The qualification is made up of three mandatory units:
• Unit 1 Follow health and safety practice in the salon
• Unit 2 Client care and communication in beauty related industries
• Unit 3 Provide thermal auricular therapy
How is it assessed?
This qualification is assessed via an internally assessed and externally verified portfolio of evidence.
